Mini Marathon Fundraiser

Over the course of the last two weeks, 127 children from year 3 to year 6 took on an incredible challenge to help raise money for our PTA. To coincide with the Virgin Money London Marathon the children each had to run their own mini marathon. They had to run, not walk, 2.6 miles (12 laps of our school field). This was a challenge, and for some a really big challenge, as they have never covered this sort of distance before. We were so proud of how they persevered. I could see on a lot of their faces that they wanted to stop and carry on another day, but they kept going! They showed great unity in the their year groups too by cheering on and encouraging those left to finish. We were hugely impressed on how many children carried on after their 12 laps. Well done to Toby 6M – 20 laps, William 5G – 21 laps, Jack 4F – 24 laps and Ishan of 3S – 20 laps. If you would like to donate .
