‘Getting To Know You’ Information
Below is are the curriculum overviews. We will be providing you with additional information in the coming weeks.
This half term we are asking that pupils wear PE kit into school on days when they are doing PE. This term all classes have PE on Mondays, 6M also have PE on Thursdays, 6B and 6Mc have PE on a Friday.
Reading books and reading records should be brought to school every day. In the meantime, we hope that your child will maintain a regular reading habit at home and complete at least two in-depth entries per week. This has been discussed already during lessons.
This half term, Year 6 will be taking part in cycling proficiency in the weeks commencing the 5th and the 12th of October. You will receive a letter detailing the information.
Year 6 will also be visiting some of the different areas of Whitton in October as part of their geographical studies. A letter will be sent out with further details closer to the time.
The Year 6 notice board is by the studio on the playground. It provides important information, such as: cake sales, timetables, trip reminders, ‘special’ days. Information can also be gathered from the office when required.
Each class will need two class representatives for the year. Please let your child’s class teacher know as soon as you can if you wish to be a class rep.
Please ensure that the office/welfare has up to date information regarding medication for children to be administered at school. Also please check that medication is within date. This is particularly important for Epipens and asthma inhalers.
If you have moved recently or changed home or mobile telephone number, please let us know. It is vital that we can contact you quickly if your child is unwell.
